The purposes of
GBRMLA shall be:
To
promote the common business interests of those engaged in the mortgage lending
industry;
To
promote cooperative business transactions among its members to the extent
allowed by law;
To
provide a forum through educational programs for the effective exchange of
mortgage lending knowledge, trends, ideas and innovations;
To
promote and enhance the image of the mortgage lending profession throughout the
state of Louisiana;
To protect the mortgage lending industry and the public through legislative actions;
To
promote the highest standards of professional practice and mortgage lending
ethics;
To
promote a cooperative liaison with other related professional groups;
To
do any and all things that are lawful and appropriate in the furtherance of
these purposes; and
To work closely with the
Louisiana Mortgage Lenders Association.
